Thank you for taking the first step to becoming an Eastside Volunteer Responder. On this page, you will find the volunteer application as well as other supporting information about the hiring process. (Scroll down for the volunteer application link.) Minimum Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old at the time of appointment
• You must live within our service area (green shaded area on the map) OR live within five driving miles of one of our fire stations (map)
• You must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
• You must be a US citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the USA

If you do not meet our minimum requirements, we encourage you to explore any of the other volunteer fire programs in King County.

Note: We will not be accepting applications for Station 82 (Sammamish/Sahalee) for the foreseeable future.

On the first testing day [Step 1] you will participate in the Physical Ability Test (without the use of an airpack or mask).
