Public Events & Community Planners

Do you have a community event or fundraiser your organization or place of business plans to sponsor this year? Even if you are a small organization, school, or business planning for your event, the impact to traffic and the influx of people into the area could affect your local emergency services.

An important public safety measure is in notifying us about your upcoming event early. If you are holding an event at Lake Sammamish State Park, or any other public recreational area, Eastside Fire & Rescue must review your plan, and ensure that there are adequate resources on site to provide for public safety. If you are planning to hold your event within citiy limits, you may also need an event permit issued by that particular city.

An important first step is to check with your insurance carrier to see if you are required to hire an Aid Crew with Ambulance and possibly provide other resources.
